Fort Riley

Fort Riley, Kansas, is a large military installation located along Interstate 70 in both Geary and Riley Counties. Home to the "Big Red One", Fort Riley is a major source of employment for the region, serving soldiers and their families. Fort Riley provides housing for soldiers in the form of houses (for families) or barracks rooms (for single soldiers). The post also provides child care and school opportunities. There are elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school located within the boundaries of the base. Additionally, Irwin Army Hospital is a newly renovated facility providing exceptional medical care to service members and their families.
