Manhattan Industrial Park
The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce - member of the Greater Manhattan Economic Partnership - owns 177 acres of land on the west side of town available for development. Current businesses in the park include Flint Hills Beverage, Covan World-Wide Moving, the Florence Corporation, and Sykes Realty. There are also two lots owned by Kansas State University. Also located within Manhattan is the Kansas State University Office Park. Centrally-located and adjacent to both K-State University and the National Bio and Agro-defense Facility, the Office Park is rapidly developing and shows high potential for future growth. The Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation - member of the Greater Manhattan Economic Partnership - owns three of these industrial parks located in Pottawatomie County: the Green Valley, Wamego, and Sandy Hook Industrial Parks. The PCEDC uses public and private funding to develop infrastructure to meet the needs of expanding and potential developers in the parks. The Green Valley and Sandy Hooks Industrial Parks has been fully developed, but there are still plots available for sale in the Wamego Industrial Park.
